- American Odds
- Odds displayed as a positive or negative number; positive shows profit on a $100 bet, negative shows amount needed to win $100.
- Arbitrage
- Placing bets on all possible outcomes across different sportsbooks to guarantee a profit.
- Asian Handicap
- A spread that eliminates the draw by using half‑goal or quarter‑goal lines.
- Bankroll
- The money you set aside for betting.
- Bonus
- Extra funds or free bets offered to customers, usually with conditions attached.
- Bookmaker
- The company that sets odds and accepts bets.
- Cash Out
- The ability to settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or loss.
- Decimal Odds
- Odds expressed as a decimal number; multiplying your stake by this gives total return.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes in a match, such as home win or draw.
- Fractional Odds
- Odds shown as a fraction; the numerator is the profit you make for each unit of stake.
- In‑Play Betting
- Placing a bet after the match has started, with odds that change as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission a sportsbook keeps on each bet, built into the odds.
